Sunday’s Cycle Sportive
Our very first Aughnacloy Cycle Sportive was very well supported and 126 riders headed out to face the 53 km and 106 km distances with all coming back to the marquee at the 53km point for refreshments and a chat. The 106km diehards finished the event with a barbecue. A big thank you to all who made the effort to come out and support this event. All proceeds will help the valuable work of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
All in all, another very enjoyable festival; a great excuse for a get together in the community. A big thanks to all those who helped out over the course of the weekend and a very special thanks to local traders & businesses who sponsored this year’s event. Money raised will help support Marie Curie Cancer Care and in part go towards the funding of new Christmas lights for Aughnacloy.
